Do I need a PayPal account if I choose PayPal to pay for the software/service? ( at top )

You do not need a PayPal account as PayPal also accepts credit or debit cards. When you reach PayPal from our registration page, please take note to the option "Don't have a PayPal account" towards the bottom of the right pane. Clicking on that link would lead you to the form to enter your debit or credit card details.

If you know Flash MX programming, the links can be added very easily by following the steps below. We can also add the links for you upon request, please contact us.

The following shows how to add links to each of the country or state :

Step 1 : Enter "Shift + F2" to open the Scene panel
Step 2 : Select the scene "United States"
Step 3 : Click the lock icon at the top of the layer to unlock all layers
Step 4 : Go to Frame 15 in the "United States Map" layer
Step 5 : Double click the MovieClip of the United States map
Step 6 : Click the eye icon at the top of the layer to show all layers (if necessary)
Step 7 : Select the country or state button that you want to add link on it when the mouse button is pressed
Step 8 : Enter "F9" to open the Actions panel
Step 9 : Type the action scripts in the Actions panel

The following shows how to add links to each of the US county :

Step 1 : Enter "Shift + F2" to open the Scene panel
Step 2 : Select the scene "Washington"
Step 3 : Click the lock icon at the top of the layer to unlock all layers
Step 4 : Go to Frame 1 in the "Map" layer
Step 5 : Double click the MovieClip of the Washington map
Step 6 : Click the eye icon at the top of the layer to show all layers (if necessary)
Step 7 : Select the county button that you want to add link on it when the mouse button is pressed
Step 8 : Enter "F9" to open the Actions panel
Step 9 : Type the action scripts in the Actions panel

The following is an example of the action scripts :

Parameters
url
The URL from which to obtain the document.

e.g. http://www.yourdomainname.com/

window
An optional parameter specifying the window or HTML frame into which the document should load. You can enter the name of a specific window or select from the following reserved target names:

_blank specifies a new window.
_parent specifies the parent of the current frame.

If you know Adobe Flash CS3 programming, the links can be added very easily by following the steps below. We can also add the links for you upon request, please contact us.

The following shows how to add links to each of the continent :

Step 1 : Open the action script file named "MapApplication.as" using an text editor.
Step 2 : Go to line 36.
Step 3 : Replace the whole function called "mapClickListener()" with the following action scripts.

How to change the dots to open URLs when it's clicked on the map World Map 2 (CS3)? ( at top )

If you know Adobe Flash CS3 programming, the behaviour of the buttons can be changed easily by following the example below. We can also modify the template for you upon request, please contact us.

The following examples shows how to change from opening info box to opening URLs.

Step 1 : Open the template using Adobe Flash
Step 2 : Double click dot in the "Dots" timeline.
Step 3 : Click on the first frame in the "action" timeline and open the action script panel

The following shows how to add links to each of the state :

Step 1 : Open the XML file named "united_states.xml" using an text editor.
Step 2 : Change the state links in the XML file.

The following is an example of the XML data :

Parameters
show
The display method when click the state area ("info": show infobox or "url": open a new page).

How to add text to each of the country or state when the mouse button is rolled over? ( at top )

If you know Flash MX programming, the text can be added very easily by following the steps below. We can also add the text for you upon request, please contact us.

Step 1 : Enter "Ctrl + L" to open the Library
Step 2 : Double click the Folder "America" in the Library, then double click the Movie Clip "America"
Step 3 : Click the "Lock" icon at the top of the layer to unlock all layers
Step 4 : After unlock all layers, please double click the "State" that you want to add the text when the mouse button is rolled over
Step 5 : Add the text on the "Over" frame
Step 6 : Finish! you can compile and test your flash map.

 

 

How to add sound effect to each of the country or states when the mouse button is rolled over? ( at top )

Please follow the steps:

Step 1 : Open the map FLA using Adobe Flash 8 or above.
Step 2 : From the File menu, click Import -> Import to Library
Step 3 : Browse to and select your file and click Open
Step 4 : Navigate to the place's button and double click it
Step 5 : Click once on the "over" frame and open the property inspector
Step 6 : Select your sound from the sound drop down box
Step 7 : Finish! You can compile and test your flash map with sound.

 

 

How to change colors of the various continents, states or countries? ( at top )

The following shows how to change the highlight colors of the continent "NORTH AMERICA" :

Step 1 : Please enter "Shift + F2" to open the scene panel, then select the scene "World".
Step 2 : Click the lock icon at the top of the layer to unlock all layers, then go to the frame 15 in "North America" layer, select and
               double click the "NORTH AMERICA" map.
Step 3 : Unlock all layers, please double click the graphic symbol in "Up" or "Over" frame.
Step 4 : Unlock all layers, please select the graphic and enter "Shift + F3" to open the property inspector, then choose the stroke
               color and the fill color in the property inspector.
Step 5 : Finish! you can compile and test your flash map.

 

The following shows how to change the highlight colors of the US states :

The following shows how to resize the map in HTML :

Step 1 : Open your HTML page in HTML Editor (e.g. Adobe Dreamweaver)
Step 2 : Select the map and enter "Ctrl + F3" to open the property inspector, then change the value of width and height
Step 3 : Finish! you can save and test your HTML page

 

 

How to insert the Flash Map to MS PowerPoint? ( at top )

The following shows how to insert the Flash Map :

Step 1 : Please open your MS PowerPoint.
Step 2 : Create a new blank presentation.
Step 3 : Select "Insert" -> "Picture" -> "From File...".
Step 4 : Browse and select the Map in WMF format.
Step 5 : Click "Insert" button to insert the Map to.
Step 6 : Finish! you can edit the map.

 

 

How to select the continents, countries, states or counties in MS PowerPoint? ( at top )

The following shows how to select the individual continents, countries, states or counties :

Step 1 : Please open your MS PowerPoint.
Step 2 : Create a new blank presentation.
Step 3 : Select "Insert" -> "Picture" -> "From File...".
Step 4 : Browse and select the Map in WMF format.
Step 5 : Click "Insert" button to insert the Map.
Step 6 : After inserted the Map to, then enter "Ctrl + A" to select the map.
Step 7 : Right click the map, select "Grouping" -> "Ungroup", repeat step 6 until break down all the objects.
Step 8 : Finish! you can select the individual continents, countries, states or countries.

You can use the map in any way you like but you can NOT resell the source code file (as on this website).
